Want to know God’s will?

May I Invite You to Church? God's Word is the Answer.

Want to know God’s will?

What a question this is. The answer is one of great interest in the lives of those who follow Jesus. Can I know the answer? Absolutely. God makes it clear in these two verses the steps you can take, to bring you to the answer you desire.

  • Give your bodies to God.
Or to put it another way, place your entire being, mind, body, and soul at His disposal. Make yourself entirely available for Him.
  • And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice–the kind he will accept. When you think of what he has done for you, is this too much to ask? Romans 12:1 NLT
  • Do not live as the unbelieving world does.
  • Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world. Romans 12:2b NLT

You are a new creature in Christ. He has saved you by His mercy. You once lived in darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. The world is interested in three primary goals in life. 1 John 2:16 NLT For the world offers only the lust for physical pleasure, the lust for everything we see, and pride in our possessions. These are not from the Father. They are from this evil world.

You are different now, so don’t try and imitate the world, and don’t yield yourself to its ways, and or your desires for the things of the world.

  1. Let God transform your mind. Romans 12:2c NLT but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think The verse says it all. But here’s something fascinating. The word transform is a Greek word, from which we derive our English word “Metamorphosis.”
  2. You remember from school, learning about caterpillars becoming butterflies. That’s what transform means. It is a process, and it does not happen overnight, but it will happen in God’s time, and with your cooperation.
  3. He will use His Holy Word to renew your way of thinking. He will work to give you the mind of Christ. He will change you to think as He wants you to believe. Your part is to read and study the Bible. Go to church and be taught the Word, get into a home fellowship with other believers, and allow yourself to be, guided by more mature Christians.
  4. Then you will enjoy knowing God’s will for your life. Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will is. Romans 12:2d NLT

What the Lord is saying here is you will know not only His will for your life, you will find out that it is the most pleasing will you could ever do. Do you want to know God’s will? Pray for God to show you and He will.

May God bless you abundantly as you let Him lead you.
