Jesus wants you back.

May I Invite You to Church? God's Word is the Answer.

Jesus wants you back.

Did you know that? He does. If you have wandered away from Christ, the good news is that Jesus wants you back, and He will take you back. Listen to what the Lord said through Jeremiah the prophet about Israel who had gone away from Him.

Jeremiah 4:1 NLT: “O Israel,” says the Lord, “if you wanted to return to me, you could. You could throw away your detestable idols And stray away no more.

Jeremiah 4:2 NLT: Then when you swear by my name, saying, “As surely as the Lord lives,’you could do so with truth, justice, and righteousness. Then you would be a blessing to the nations of the world, and all people would come and praise my name.”

Let’s break this down into bite size bites.

  1. This invitation is from God Himself. Jeremiah 4:1a NLT: “O Israel,” says the Lord.
  2. The Lord explains if you want to return you could do it. Jeremiah 4:1b NLT: “If you wanted to return to me, you could.”
  3. God explains the steps to take to return. It’s not complicated. Jeremiah 4:1c NLT: You could throw away your detestable idols and stray away no more. Throwing away your detestable idols means merely to make a 180 degree turn from what you have been doing. And, just don’t stop going away from Him.
  4. Here’s what will happen to you, and it’s such a blessing. Jeremiah 4:2c NLT: “Then you would be a blessing to the nations of the world, and all people would come and praise my name.”

The past may have been dark, the present may be even worse, but God says the future can be very bright. Don’t you want it that way? I sure do. So, if you do, there is no time like the present. Here is a simple prayer you can pray right now.

Dear God, Thank You for inviting me to come back to You. Thank You also for wanting me back. And, thank You for showing me what to do. I ask that You, please forgive me for turning away from You. And I ask that You, please give me Your power to make the turn back to you and to keep on going forward with you, And, help me Lord to not stray anymore. I love you in Jesus name, Amen.

May our God cause His face to shine upon you and give you peace. Please remember, that Jesus wants you back. Our Father doesn’t like his children to be out of fellowship with him.
