First of all, my mother Loretta, my wife Gayle Grenier, my mother-in-law Ruth, and Gayle’s grandmother, Mildred “Oatma” as we liked to call her. All of these women except Gayle are now in Glory with Our God and Saviour Jesus Christ.
When people leave us, it seems that we not only miss them, but we wish we could have expressed our appreciation to them while they were here. I look forward to reuniting with them when I arrive and pass through Heaven’s shores as it were.
Secondly, there are some friends, all of whom are still here with us, that have been real and true friends to me through the ups and down’s of life. Greg and Susie Dowds, Raul and Sharon Ries, Mike and Sandi MacIntosh, Andy and Lori Mangano, Bill Wittman, Pastor Danny Bond, Pastor Dale Goddard, and Pastor Mike Buford and his wife, Terri.
There are “friends” who destroy each other, but a real friend sticks closer than a brother.
Proverbs 18:24 NLT
We all have friends that in the end, were not truly friendly. And, conversely, we all have friends that indeed have stuck with us through thick and thin.
In closing, I would like to thank all the members of our body here at Calvary Chapel Visalia who have stood by the Lord and their pastor and his family. We love you more than you know. It is an encouragement to see all of you who have remained true and faithful to the Lord, and to the body here at Calvary Chapel Visalia. What a blessing each of you has been.
